WHEN TIME STANDS STILL
Sometimes we find ourselves in an unusual, uncomfortable environment – as an individual, as a group, or as a society. Observation and conversation become key in these instances as a way of positively moving forward.
When Time Stands Still alludes to the quiet space before or during a monumental moment. Specifically created in reference to the ongoing efforts of the #MeToo movement, the Forum Gallery becomes an arena with Untitled (Blue Space) at its center. Much like a battleground, the abyss is intended to feel as both a sacred space from events past and a place of ongoing challenges. The surrounding walls are lined with repeating iterations of a created icon that reference the overwhelming impact of this particular time and space.
